Important Insurance and Financial Information at Hampton Dental
Understanding Your Dental Treatment Costs
At Hampton Dental, we understand that navigating dental insurance and treatment costs can be confusing. We’re committed to providing transparency and making your dental care experience as smooth as possible. Here’s a breakdown of our payment options and insurance billing process:
We offer flexible payment options to fit your budget. In addition to traditional payment methods like cash, credit cards, and checks, we also partner with CareCredit.
- CareCredit: This financing option allows you to split your dental treatment costs into easy monthly installments. As long as you pay off the balance within the promotional period, you won’t be charged any interest. Applying for CareCredit is easy, and we can help you during your visit to Hampton Dental.
We accept most major dental insurance plans and strive to provide accurate treatment estimates beforehand. However, it’s important to understand that:
- Insurance Coverage Varies: Every insurance policy has different coverage levels and exclusions.
- Pre-Determination is Not Guaranteed: While we can provide an estimate, your insurance company has the final say on what portion of your treatment they will cover.
- Out-of-Pocket Costs: Most dental plans are not designed to cover 100% of treatment costs. You will likely have a patient responsibility portion, which is the amount you owe after insurance coverage is applied.
Understanding Your Insurance Benefits
Here are some key points to remember regarding insurance:
- Coverage Verification: You must confirm if Hampton Dental is a preferred provider within your insurance network. In-network providers typically offer better coverage rates.
- Claim Submission & Payment Timeline: We will electronically submit your insurance claim for reimbursement. You are responsible for paying your estimated patient portion at the time of service.
- Insurance Payment Deadlines: We allow 45 days for your insurance company to process and pay your claim. If payment isn’t received within that time frame, you become responsible for the full amount.
- Pre-Estimates vs. Final Payments: Insurance companies typically will disclose the exact amount they’ll cover once your treatment is complete and a claim is submitted. They may only indicate a coverage percentage beforehand.
- Maximizing Your Coverage: Our team will work diligently to maximize the value of your claim submission.
Dental Insurance is a Separate Agreement
It’s important to remember that your dental insurance plan is a contract between you, your insurance company, and possibly your employer (if it’s an employee plan). Hampton Dental does not have a direct contract with your insurance provider and cannot negotiate on your behalf.
If you have any questions about your dental insurance coverage, treatment costs, or payment options, please don’t hesitate to ask our friendly staff at Hampton Dental. We’re happy to help you understand your financial responsibility and explore flexible payment solutions.
